I would think this would have been the logical way to set up emails when you send a Dropbox Transfer to someone, but alas: the current recipient's email when sending a Dropbox Transfer is: from: noreply@dropbox.com Hi "Someone" "Joe" (...@gmail.com) sent sent you a file. It'll be available to download until..... when someone hits REPLY to the email, it replies to noreply@dropbox.com!!???? PLEASE, this makes no sense at all!!! When a recipient hits REPLY, is should NOT reply to noreply@dropbox.com, it SHOULD reply to ...@gmail.com, the sender of the transfer, not the noreply dropbox email. I would think this would be basic logic, the entire premise of sending from a noreply email is to NOT have the recipient automatically reply to that email address! The actual sender's email is in the first line of the email, PLEASE just change the "reply-to" field so that recipients will reply to the SENDER and not noreply@dropbox.com as basic logic would dictate!106Views0likes2CommentsWhy is Dropbox declining a job application because of my location?
I recently applied for a job as a Frontend Software Engineer at Dropbox, but I got an email saying the following: "Hi, Thank you for your interest in the Frontend Product Software Engineer, Design Systems position at Dropbox! As a Virtual First company, Dropbox’s location strategy is focused on distributing our workforce globally. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to hire for Frontend Product Software Engineer, Design Systems in your location and are not able to move forward with your candidacy at this time. If you’re interested, click here to stay in touch and join our Talent Community. We’ll send periodic updates with new roles and opportunities as they become available (we promise, no spam!) Thank you again for considering Dropbox, and we wish you the best of luck in your job search. Talent Acquisition Team at Dropbox" What I don't understand is that I am born and I live in The Netherlands and the job is in Poland. So, as an EU citizen I am eligible for this job. Unfortunately I cannot reply to the email because the sender is no-reply@dropbox.com. I would like to get more information on this. Is it possible that there is a mistake? Can I get in touch with someone who can tell me more about this? I look forward to hearing from you. P.S. I apologize for posting it here, but I really don't know where else to get in touch. I really want this job!Solved208Views0likes2CommentsSending large files to dedicated email address and have them added to the storage automatically
I was hoping to avoid uploading and downloading a 125GB file multiple times that I already have in WeTransfer. Other services allow for a dedicated email address to send large files to that will automatically add those files to storage. Perhaps you could convey that to your product management team as an enhancement request. Thank you for your help.232Views0likes7CommentsEmail attachments to Dropbox not working
I have set up the option to email attachments to my Dropbox folder and have tried several times and from different email addresses but nothing is ever showing up in the designated Dropbox folder. Any help with this would be gratefully received!Solved184Views0likes5CommentsI can't join another user's shared folder, as I'm not getting the email invitation.
Hi. I installed dropbox on my desktop and created a dropbox account. I verified the email address. Someone is trying to share a folder with me but I am not receiving the email notification. The shared folder is also not appearing in my dropbox folder. I checked and there are no syncing issues. They tried removing me from the sharing list and adding again but still not appearing in my dropbox and no email notification. I have tried multiple devices as well. How do I solve this?113Views0likes3CommentsHow can I remove a user from a Paper document that I shared with them via link?
Hello, I've a personal Dropbox account. I shared the link to someone. He opened it in his work account, instead of his personal account. Now the paper shows his work account as 'opened'. How to remove that? He doesn't want other people who is viewing the Paper to notice his work email address. Please help me.93Views0likes1CommentWhen opening a shared link using Gmail, it alters the URL.
As I prepare to send a press release to my media contacts with my Dropbox folder link (that has view-only permissions) included, I've found that the link works only a few times after I click it in my test emails. But afterwards, the URL starts to unfurl the ampersands (&) as "amp;" and it breaks the link, giving 400 errors on all my devices. i.e. The original, working URL structure: [...] rlkey=rjcrcap8ebtitcazxmlhi4zw0&st=yl5h2f17&dl=0 The 400 error version of the link: [...] rlkey=rjcrcap8ebtitcazxmlhi4zw0&st=yl5h2f17&dl=0 When I delete the "amp;"s manually, the URL works again as it should. Any idea why this is happening? I cannot share my Dropbox link until this is fixed. For my tests, I am using the latest iOS both on a recent Macbook and an iPhone 14. Browser is Google Chrome or Safari (both seem to have the issue). Mail system I'm using is Gmail.162Views0likes3Comments
