23 TopicsIs an email I received about a Dropbox research study ($100 gift card) legit or a scam?
I received the email shown in the screenshot, from mailto:no-reply@em-s.dropbox.com, which I believe is a legitimate Dropbox domain. But the email itself seems sketchy because of the $100 gift card being offered. Any info appreciated.Solved109Views0likes1CommentI don't receive the Dropbox email to verify my Proton email address.
Question or Issue: I am trying to verify a new email address. It's a Proton Mail address but I am not receiving the verification link. I have added dropbox to my contact list. I double checked spam. I tried sending from three different browsers. Nothing seems to work. Please help.Solved150Views0likes3CommentsI'm not receiving the email to reset my password
Do you have access to the email linked to the account? (Yes) Are there any devices connected to your Dropbox account? (Phone) Question or Issue Im signed out of my dropbox account and cannot sign in. Ive selected "forgot my password" but am not receiving an email to reset my password. Even if i get the password right, it asks me for a 6 digit security pin, but I dont even receive the email for that. How do I recover my account, or make sure I can receive the email? I've checked the spam folders, but no where to be found. Im posting this on a different account I made, so I could post this discussion.162Views0likes5CommentsI received multiple strange emails from Dropbox - are they a spoof?
Received a rash of emails from no-reply@dropbox.com Four of them say: From Porag [removed]: "Thank you for your Dropbox Advanced Plan payment of $298.75. Invoice number: [removed]. The transaction was completed using PayPal. Powered by Dropbox. If this wasn’t you, call [removed] for support. Check your Zoom account to confirm the payment details." Of course I have not done that. Also two separate ones say: You’ve been invited by Dropbox Team (removed) to join Receiptdone on Dropbox. By joining a team, you’ll get access to: Team storage space Collaboration tools Enhanced team security My only logical conclusion is spoof. Agree?135Views0likes2CommentsI need the one-time code to log in to my other Dropbox account, but the email never arrives.
Hello, unfortunately I had to re-register as user due to I can't log-in with the fomer account: my other email [removed per Community Guidelines] is unable to get the verification code. I have tried every possibility, adding "no-reply" as reliable sender, checking spam folder, logging in also from incognito mode using different browsers and so on.... Perhaps may you help me somehow? Hello, most of the files I uploaded to a Dropbox account (around 2021) was done when my account was associated with an email that I no longer have access to. I do have a few files in a separate Dropbox account associated with my current, permanent email, but most are in the original account. I'm unable to log into the original account because it sends the code to the non-accessible email. It would be great to be able to link my original Dropbox account to either my current email address, and/or my cell phone number. Thank you for your assistance.173Views0likes3Comments
