Our company is having the issue that on the mobile app (using the ipad or iphone) often times the file name is too long to properly view what we are opening. I want to be able to read the entire file name so I know what i am opening since many of the beginning and last parts of the file are exactly the same for filing purposes so I want to be able to view the file name without having to open each one in order to find out. I'm hoping I make sense. Is there something I'm missing where I'm able to do this? I can't "right click" on the file name cause I'm mobile otherwise I would try that 🙂Solved32KViews22likes112CommentsiOS app: "Convert all to classic integration"
I have noticed that Dropbox for iOS (v358.2) has a new action in the settings. Under `Native Files.app integration`, there is a button titled "Convert all to classic integration". But it is not documented anywhere. What does it do? How is the "modern" integration different from the "classic" one?4.9KViews4likes3CommentsiPod won't Connect to my Dropbox account.
Hello. I have an iPod running iOS 12.5.8. When I try to login to my account using the iOS app I get the following error, "Unable to Connect to Dropbox There may be a problem with your iPod's internet connection". There is no problem w/ my internet connection. I can connect to the internet fine. When I try to login from my iPod using Google I get an 'invalid" email address error. I know this email is correct b/c I can log in from my desktop. This used to work fine but suddenly stopped working. And yes I tried deleting and reloading the app and it still does not work. I don't have cellular data options on this iPod.97Views2likes6CommentsNew Dropbox Backup does not sync to Dropbox iPhone App
There is a new PC folder (labeled PC) created in the new backup program that backs up my files on the internet (dropbox.com) only . However, that same folder does not appear on the Dropbox App on my iPhone or on my PC (dropbox folder) - so none of the new files that are downloaded to the internet sync with the iPhone App. When I manually place files in the Dropbox folder on my PC, it will then sync with my iPhone dropbox app. There use to be a file in the dropbox folder labeled for my Dell Computer name, and that file still exists, but it does not back up to that file as it use to before this new backup program existed. Almost all the files in that Dell Computer name folder have now disappeared. How do I automatically sync new files to my desktop PC dropbox folder, and therefore also the iPhone App, without manually having to do so? I don't think drop box is supposed to work this way.4.5KViews2likes25CommentsThe Dropbox Passwords app has some compatibility issues with iOS 26
I have ios 26, the new developer release, and many apps have already issued updates to help them function. Dropbox Passwords seems to be bugging. It freezes up when I press the “…” to edit and change a password on an existing account. If you can escalate this, it would help many of us who have already updated our phones. I will contact Apple as well. thanks193Views1like2CommentsEnable ipadOS Dropbox app for Apple Vision Pro
Dropbox had to explicitly deny iPadOS app from installation on AVP as iPadOS apps are compatible and enabled by default. More than a year later and Dropbox still continues to keep the app blocked. At this point I will have to look at migrating to a different vendor for my cloud storage. I have yet to come up with any reasonable reason why Dropbox would make the decision to block their iPad app from installation on Apple Vision Pro.223Views1like6CommentsThere's no login option on the Dropbox app for iPhone (just the option to create an account).
I have had a Dropbox account for years, and I recently downloaded the Dropbox app on my iphone 15, which I got to replace a previous iphone that I damaged beyond the ability to use. I am logged into Dropbox on my Mac and in my browser. When I went to log into the Dropbox app on my new phone, I was presented with an interface to create a new account, but not to log in. I went ahead and entered my email and password for my existing account in that interface, thinking it would provide me with a login interface once it recognized that an account with those credentials already exists. But it doesn't. So I can't find any way to use this app. What is the solution?Solved1.8KViews1like8CommentsNative files.app integration is buggy, doesn’t sync
Steps: 1. Install Dropbox on iOS 2. The native files.app integration is enabled by default 3. Set a folder to be available offline in the Dropbox app 4. Wait for the folder to sync 5. On another device create a file in the folder Expected: The file is synced to the mobile Dropbox app and the native files.app Actual: The file does not sync to the native files.app. You need to manually go and refresh to make that file sync. The problem this causes is when third party apps (like iawriter) try to use files synced by Dropbox, new files are missing. When edits are made to files that show up they always cause conflicts.665Views1like3Comments
