Can't preview my files after renaming them

Hey  so I have a similar problem almost every time I rename a picture its version changes to a file that cannot be previewed even when downloaded. it says files without extensions can not be previe...

    Welcome to the forum, Magdalene Njane!

     

    From what I understand, you'll need to separate the extension of the file from the rest of the filename with a dot (.). So, in this case, the name of the file should be “Friday 19th Aug - 6pm.jpg”.

     

    Please rename your file once again and let me know if the issue persists after that.

I am trying to open a file that contains a song that I need to send to someone and when I try to open it, it says files without extensions cannot be previewed. I understand that this means I don’t have a suffix attached to the end of it, but I don’t know how to fix it.

Rename the file and add an appropriate file extension for the file type to the end of the file name.
