Can't view offline files on iPad without access to the internet
Something changed over the last couple of months. I have hundreds of JPEG photos of sheet music I made and stored in Dropbox, with each jpeg saved in the Dropbox app on my iPad to be viewable off-lin...

Hi Walter, thanks for the quick response.
itâs iPadOS 18.3.2
and the Dropbox app automatically updates to the newest version, but I donât know how to see what that version number is. It is the basic plan
This has been happening for about a month. So far luckily I have been able to use my phone as a hotspot to restore it on the fly but that wonât work for remote jobs I have coming up.
it is effecting all files and folders, absolutely nothing is accessible when Iâm away from wifi.
All I get is a yellow banner saying ~No internet connection, syncing will resume when youâre back online. view offline files~
clicking that right now can send me to all types of stored files out of context with none of their folders or organization.
it never behaved this way before. For all these years Iâve been able to navigate between the organized folders of saved files. Any ideas?

8 months agoCan you describe what you're seeing when you're offline but nothing loads? It sounds like the folder contents don't show up at all, is there an error message or something other than the banner showing up?
Edit: I think I see what you're experiencing. If you force quit the app while you're seeing this issue, I believe it'll start working once again while offline. You can also navigate to offlined folders/files via the Account tab and I believe that will work either way.
