"Display Limit Reached" message when trying to view my photos
Hi---
I keep all my photos on Dropbox. It's usually great-- I open the app and scroll back and go back literally years and years and years. If I want to see a photo from November 2014, I could ...

Yes!!! This!!!! It’s not acceptable table for us to not be able to access our photos! When we pay to do so!

I found the photos looking in file and then going to phot uploads, so they are all still there I believe, BUT it takes forever to load them (my phone is new so it’s not a storage/memory issue from my phone) then when it finally loads a photo I THINK ‘Igor be what I’m looking for, it takes at lease 2 minutes for the photo to load, and then when I try to hit the back arrow, it takes about a minute to go back. That is if it doesn’t freeze up and I have to end up closing the Dropbox app and starting over. I have 132,000 images/videos dating back to 2014. Might have to try to see if I can transfer them all to Google photos or something. But that will take forever too.
Hope it gets resolved soon. Or I’m out too.

- Sandy12314 years agoHelpful | Level 6From the so-called “responses” from Dropbox, they don’t really seem to care about this issue. They keep asking for screenshots, but I’m sure they know exactly why we are all having this serious problem! I always told people how great Dropbox was and I was always extremely happy with the service, that is until this whole “display limit reached” rendered most of my photos unviewable. Even when I try to look at a photo that is within the so called acceptable date range, it will just spin and attempt to load, and then crash. Sooo frustrating! I need to find a new service that actually works. And that has people actively working on correcting known issues such as this, rather than give mindless replies!
- Glolynn724 years agoHelpful | Level 5I’m in the process of trying to transfer all of my photos from Dropbox to google photos. With them you can search for images by several different ways and filters. That has been extremely helpful to me. I refuse to pay almost $14 a month for something that isn’t even working.
Good luck!!!
