Exporting to Instagram problem
I use dropbox to move pictures from my mac to my iphone, and then export them to instagram. Recently, however, when I go to export from my phone, I get a message that dropbox is linking the file and then it posts directly on instagram, instead of letting instagram open the picture. It doesn't let me crop or edit in instagram. Any ideas what to do?
- I had similar issue in an Android phone. Try these
1. Make sure you have given storage access to both apps Dropbox and Photos app. Just double check usually it’s on.
2. Go to Dropbox app and tap on ‘3 dots icon’ or More options icon. Then select make available offline.
3. Now go back to Instagram and select the file location of Dropbox to select your image file. It should open now.
It seems Instagram can’t access direct dropbox files yet. They must be on storage somewhere. Cheers

- Instagram just pushed out another update within the past few hours but apparently this issue was not addressed so I don't see it being fixed anytime soon unfortunately
So annoying, how do we know they are aware of this hitch? It's been nearly a month now...:(
- I sent an email to Instagram support team about a week or more ago and then I this morning after seeing the update that did not fix the left a review on Instagram with a low rating explaining the issue; so they've been notified whether or not anyone's actually seen it and taking initiative is a different question LOL.
- I upgraded my Dropbox account precisely so that I can use it for Instagram. Never had a problem until now. Complete pain. I have a One Plus Pro
- The only 'solution' I've found is to upload to Later.com and then schedule to Instagram but unless you have a paid version of Later, it doesn't Autopublis and you have to type in the text.
- I'm surprised that works. I had been using the preview app and that does the same type of thing and that wasn't working either.
- Just tried using the preview app for Dropbox and the free version of that works as a workaround. The free version will not Auto post but you can pre-prep your hashtags. Well it doesn't Auto post you can set it to send you a notification for when you want to post it.

I'm having exactly the same problem, until just recently I could always upload images from dropbox to instagram, now whenever I select an image from dropbox I get the same 'unable to upload image' error. Really frustrating. Using Android tablet, and doesn't work on my Android phone either :(
But until recently had no problem, this has only happened about 2 weeks ago..........
