File names not appearing in ‘Recents’
I am using the online version of Dropbox. It has been working well but recently when using the Recents tab the list displays a list of images, but the file names that contain the images are missing. I can find the files and download from All Files but I like the convenience of the Recents tab. I am on Windows 7 which I know is outdated but it has been working fine until now.

I see, thanks for checking, User1557178.
I just sent you an email, so we can investigate this further internally.
Just reply back to me when you have a chance.
Thanks!

No. Folder does not appear. It does reverse the order of the images, but that is all.

Hi again, User1557178, thanks for the reply!
Would you mind trying Megan's suggestion again with the arrow next to your column headers? To give you a visual, I'm attaching a screenshot of what I'm talking about.

I know it's not showing up on my screenshot, but if you hover over the spot I circled next to the "Name" column header on your recents page, you should see a little arrow; that's the one we need you to click on.
If you click on that, do you see a "folder" option?

I can download images normally in folders that are then shown in All Files. When I go to recents only the images (IMG) are shown without the corresponding folder name. In recents there is an arrow by NAME but that just changes order of the list up or down. The ellipses allow a check of file info which shows the correct file. I don’t access shared folders, as I upload the images directly. If I double click on an image it takes me to preview where the file is listed an I can access the file that way, although is awkward.

Hey User1557178, bear with me while we try to get to the bottom of this!
Can you upload a brand new file, and then edit/access it in order for it to appear in your recents tab? Once you do this, do you notice the same behavior?
Also, if you click on the little down arrow next to one of the column headers, do you see 'folder' as an option there?
Lastly, for the files that are visible in your recents tab, if you click the ellipsis (...) and then File info, are the files shared from other people?
I'm asking because I just tested it, and for me the files that are missing the location next to their names are files that are shared with me from other people.

I was able to log in with Firefox today and the same situation occurs. The other browser that I usually use is Microsoft Edge.

I tried logging into Dropbox with Firefox but it would not allow a login. I have not tried any other browsers yet. I will try tomorrow.

Thanks for the updates, User1557178.
If you log in to your Dropbox account from a different browser, can you recreate this behavior? Or does it work like before?

Here is a photo of the screen. The files do not appear in ‘Recents’. I have to open them from the All Files list.
