How can I download files from Dropbox onto a Network Drive?

Hi,

I am currently attempting to download all of the assets on my team's Dropbox (roughly 85TB) and move it to a network location. I know that Dropbox will not sync to a network drive, and I'm limited to 2TB of storage on my local machine. So, I've been going crazy slowly going folder by folder and downloading it piecemeal.

My question is if there is a better way to move this much data at once? Does anyone at Dropbox have the ability to help with this data migration? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Video Team, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Currently, there isn't another method to transfer files from the Dropbox site, aside from downloading the folders and files manually, if you can't use the Dropbox desktop application to sync files.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

    Hi @Jay,

I do have the Dropbox app on my computer and have been using it to sync files locally. Like I said, there is no way to point the desktop app to a network location so I'm limited by my computers storage.

Aside from marking folders as available offline, to then move to a network drive, the only other option would be to find an app that can sync directly from Dropbox to a network drive, which could exist depending on the software and hardware you're using.
