Image previews not loading or very slow, even those outside dropbox folder!

Dropbox is slowing down thumbnail generations on Windows, even when images are not located inside a dropbox folder. This is very annoying and only solution is to exit dropbox while working.

It’s possible that the Dropbox desktop application is using a lot of CPU cycles or RAM.

 

Could you try the steps in this article to see if they help at all?
