Saving a file to device in Android app
When saving a file to device on Android phone, the app shows the last used folder with no hint where that folder is. I suggest to add a path on top or the bottom of the screen or as a continuation to the location (for example SD/....) so the user knows where the file will be saved.
If one uses the chevron on top or the three line menu on left, the last location will be lost and one must choose from the file browser.
If by mistake the file browser was not used and the save button was pressed, you will never find that file. I did that and still the search produces no results, even if I allow the hidden files to show. Most probably it was saved in a place where the search can not reach.
Without the path, the only thing you see is the message "Saving on SD". But where?

Here it is:
- ashmtlExplorer | Level 4Hi Nancy. That is the problem, I don't know where that folder is and the search yields no results. If I click on menu and choose a folder, the last one will disappear.
I have created that SDC folder to find it in file browser.

If you tap the down arrow at the top, is there any folder showing there?
What happens if you navigate into the SDC folder, does that SDC name appear at the top?

OK, I see now how to find the place of the folder shown. I can't go back and I can't find that SDC folder anymore because I have browsed out of that folder.
Is there a way finding that SDC folder? The search option is useless, shows nothing.

Hey ashmtl, to find the SDC folder, you'd have to locate it via the SD card and find it on your phone.
Another workaround would be to plug your phone into your computer, to browse your files/folders a bit easier.
However, we do appreciate your feedback about making folder navigation when saving files from Dropbox to the SD card easier, and I will make sure your comments are passed along to our team.
