Sync icons missing in the Dropbox folder in Finder

For anyone still experiencing the issue after following the above instructions —
You also need to quit Dropbox from the Menu Bar (and force-quit any Dropbox processes that don't automatically disappear from Activity Monitor after you've waited 20-30 seconds) in order to see these Dropbox in-Finder sync icons re-appear.And then after Relaunching Finder, then re-open Dropbox.
Just tested this on macOS Sonoma 14.4 (23E214) ✅

Hi Megan. I'm having the same problem continuously. Files downloaded into Dropbox folders simply do not appear visible there when I look for them from Finder or from an application. When I try to download again, it says the files already exist. But they are not visible. I've tried all you suggest above but to o avail.
