3 years agoYou would need more free quota on your account than the size of the shared folder.
This is regarding your Dropbox account, not the device, so the same issue would apply on the computer.

The error did not come up on my phone, it just comes up on my MacBook. when I click on my phone, it just tells me I don't have sufficient data. When I click on my MacBook, it just gives me the sad dog error

Hey xglorx, hope it’s OK to jump in here.
If you’re trying to add a shared folder to your Dropbox account, you’ll need to have enough Dropbox space, no matter the device you’re trying to access it from, like Jay mentioned.
Can you please clarify what’s the total size of the folder you’re trying to add?
Also, please send me a screenshot of what you see here.
