Hey AmyM1!
Do you wish to keep these files as "online-only"?
Can you make the available offline before trying to open them? What happens when you right click on your files inside the Dropbox folder and select the 'make available offline' option?

Yes - they have always been available until yesterday.

Thanks for the info.
If you mark these specific files as available offline, do they then open normally on your machine?

Good Morning
Thank you for your reply, the ones I can't open have the grey cloud since icon. The ones with the green tick I an open without an issue. These are the ones I can't open:

Hi AmyM1, thanks for posting today!
What sync icon do these files have on them in Finder?
Do they show a cloud icon, or something else, depending on if you're using the new File Provider version or the legacy version?
A screenshot showing your files in Finder would help greatly!
