Video transcript error message
I keep getting the error message "There was an error loading the transcript" for all my videos when trying to generate a transcript. The length doesn't matter, it happens with 1-minute videos and 30- or 60- minute videos. The format is mp4. All videos are played correctly in the preview. The audio is clear and in English. Any suggestions?

Hey Candle - sorry to jump in here, but could you clarify the size of the file and if you've tried another network since you first noticed this?

The file is 680 MB. I have not tried another network. Larger and smaller files work on this network, but not that specific video.
For anyone reading this in the future, re-uploading the file fixed the issue for me.

Hi Nancy, this is an issue for me as well. I have cleared my cache, tried 3 different browsers, and also incognito window. The files I am trying to listen to, I am accessing via a share link. I am not the original uploader of videos.
I've watched many and but this week it doesn't seem to be working. - Megan2 years ago

Hey caprov, thanks for posting here!
Do you notice this type of behavior with a specific file? If so, would you mind letting me know the file type, and its size too?
When did this start happening?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Hi, it is a zoom video recording in MP4 format. I contacted the owner of video and this is what she said "I checked that module and the video is fine. I uploaded it to Dropbox again but it didn't help. The video and transcript play fine when you use the direct dropbox link. But the redirected link doesn't connect the transcript."
Oh and this started yesterday. It was working fine until then.
The only other message I've received in the past, was a 'this video is too long to transcribe' message, but that was a video almost 2 hours in length. These are online classroom recordings. I can't tell you what size the file is as I'm not the owner, but I can confirm that I've tried it with shorter video's approx 45 minutes, and up to longer video's around the 1 hour 40 minute mark - at this point, no size of video is transcribing. I think this is a redirect link issue. - Nancy2 years ago

Hey caprov! Can you clarify what the owner said a bit more?
When saying that everything works fine with the direct Dropbox link, did they mean when watching the video on their Dropbox account, and not via the shared link?

Hello,
Please see below. I am getting an error message on all of seminary transcripts. I find these transcripts helpful when I am listening and writing lecture notes. Any assistance would be helpful and I would like to get this resolved.
Thank you!

Hi there Cameron McIntosh - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you please clear your browser's cache and/or try another browser and let us know if this persists?
Also, what is the file type of the files you notice this on, and their sizes?
Keep us posted!

Good morning, I did clear my browser's cache, restarted my computer, and tried using other browsers (safari, microsoft edge, and google chrome). It is not working on any of these platforms. The sizes of the file range from 8.00-12 mb in size and they are audio mp3 files.
