Hey there helencpalmer75,Initially, please note that when this behavior was reported in this thread, it was temporary and is now resolved. However, if you are seeing a 500 error, could you please clarify when exactly? Is it when you try to sign in to your Dropbox account or when you navigate to a specific tab?Let me know what you find! - helencpalmer757 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Hi, We have a team folder which we share, but all the documents within this folder all experience the error “‘404’ we cant find what you’re looking for…” when you try and open or download them
This seems to have happened since the upgrade last week... but may be just a coincidence.
How can i get help on this please urgently...

Sorry to be jumping in here Helen but could you go through the exact steps you take to result in this error?
If this persists across other browsers or an incognito window, could you send us a screenshot of the error you get so we can investigate further?
Last but not least, are all members of the team affected by this?
Let us know here and we'll take it from there!

I see now - thanks for the clarification Helen!
Upon testing the shared link you provided I also hit a 404 error.
Now, kindly note that shared links will break if the file(s) has been deleted from its Dropbox folder. Please check to see that the file is still located in your Dropbox folder. You can look at your deleted files on the following page:
https://www.dropbox.com/deleted_files
Please also be aware that there is a 20GB daily limit on link traffic for Basic accounts, and a 200GB daily limit for paid accounts. Exceeding this limit will disable your shared links.
I hope this information helps point you towards the right direction while I remain at your disposal should you need any further assistance with this Helen; just let me know here and I'll reach out to your Dropbox associated email address to work on it together.
Thanks again!

I'm sorry, could you clarify if you have added the files you're trying to edit to your account first? Can you see them within your 'Files' tab on our website?
I'm only asking because shared links are by default view only Helen.
Thanks for your cooperation so far!

I am also getting this error message when trying to open files from a team folder. Is there a solution for this?

Hi there allison12345,As Walter mentions in their previous reply, please bear in mind that if you’re getting a 404 error when trying to access a shared link, it usually means that the file has been deleted from its Dropbox folder. In this case, if this was a file in your account, please check to see that it’s still located in your Dropbox (potentially in your deleted files tab) or, if it’s sent by another user/member, please contact them for more info.If I’ve misunderstood your concern, please don’t hesitate to get back to me with any additional details, relevant steps that you take that results in this error, as well as screenshots (without any personal info) so that I have a better understanding of your experience. Thanks in advance!
