Why are my Dropbox Transfers showing as viewed?

This should be a simple solution but hard to find an aswer, here is my scenario: I send a test file "mskeys.txt", I put in my email address which is my companys email. I do not send this file to any...

I'd recommend getting in contact with the support team directly for them to investigate this matter in more detail on their end.

Already have them on the case and they are looking into it.

I am proposing a theory:
Since the file goes through various firewalls and virus scans that a header is reporting back to DropBox and triggering the View/Download event to the user.

Just wondering if anyone else out their has ever noticed this?

    There is a possibility that strict security measures might screen any links for potential malware or other behaviors, perhaps a few times via different scanners, which could be causing this.

     

    I'll leave this thread open for other users to comment their experiences as well.
