All folders and files completely missing from my account.
I went to login three days ago to the app on my phone and was prompted to login. I logged in and discovered that every single folder and file that I have saved in my Dropbox account was missing. My Plus plan was also reset to the Basic plan. Can anyone help me with this? I've had a Plus plan for over 3 years and so I'm baffled by this.

Hi, is it possible that you have another Dropbox account with all the files on it?
Maybe you're using a different Dropbox account?
- treytyler2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Hi I’m 100% sure the account is with this email address.

What is www.dropbox.com/events showing?
When you say you have plus have you checked what it says if you credit card look up? https://help.dropbox.com/billing/find-credit-card-charge

Events link is showing that I just signed up for Dropbox (which is when the issue started).
The Billing link shows that the account is linked to the same email address. It also shows I've been paying for Plus up until 3/1, at which point I was refunded the monthly amount which is when the issue started. So strange... - Megan2 years ago

Hey treytyler, thanks for posting here!
If your events page shows that you signed up for Dropbox when you first noticed this behavior, then it's most likely a new account.
As for the files, when was the last time you saw your content in your account online?
Do you have another email address that you can use, in order to check for any Dropbox-related emails there?
Keep me posted!

Thanks for replying, Megan. I last saw my files on September 30. I know that's the date due to a deadline I had.
I didn't sign up for a new account. I went to log in on the first of October and was prompted to enter a new password so I went through the motions to update that. I've used the same email address for years now as I only have one personal email account.
Any other ways we can check? - Hannah2 years ago

Hey treytyler, do you have any other email addresses?
I think it's important to check them for any emails from Dropbox, just to confirm that the paid account wasn't associated with a different address.
Because it does sound like this account was just created.

I have no other email addresses. I checked my billing statements from Dropbox and everything has been billed to me under my current email address

Hi treytyler, did you join a Dropbox team at any point? Do you see any confirmed payments (with an invoice and receipt) on this page on your account?
Has anyone else had access to your account or devices on which this account was linked, such as another desktop or mobile?
- treytyler2 years agoExplorer | Level 3
I did join a dropbox team a few weeks ago but through my personal email account.
I do see confirmed payments but only the most recent one, not the 5-6 years of past payments, though my bank statements show that.
No one else has had access to my account though I do log in to the same account via desktop and mobile.
Thank you in advance. Really appreciate it.
