Cant edit shared Excel

For about 1 week ago I can no longer edit shared Excel files.   I dont have the option in the top to edit via Excel online, that whole button has just dissapeared.   Does somebody know why th...

    From your second screenshot, the default app to open the files is the Dropbox site. Could you change it to make this Excel on the web?

I cleared the cache, uninstalled the dropbox APP, installed it again, after restarting the phone and the error persists.
I downloaded the excel file to my phone and it works normally.

Hi Luisa6, just to confirm, is this an xls or xlsx file? 

 

Only the latter can be edited on an Android device.
