I'm unable to restore the files located within a shared folder
I opened my dropbox account today and found a shared folder missing.
We are a small team of 4, and it was not any of us that caused it.
Dropbox records attribute the action to one user when I check the deleted files section.
However she was not at her desk at the time of the action.
I can verify that as I sit beside her at work.
I restored the shared folder, however the majority of the folders and files contained
within it, are still not restored.
I checked 'activity' in Dropbox and can see that the 'member' attributed to this is
when I check there is different from the team member I mentioned earlier.
In the 'activity' section, the action is attributed to a member called 'Dropbox'
we do not have a member in our team called 'Dropbox', so I do not know what that means.
The 'activity' record shows thousands of files removed with the following 'Activity'
listed as -
Activity:Unshared file/folder by clearing membership
Accessed From: Unknown
Location: Unknown
IP Address: Unknown
Participants: All on team
I have raised a ticket with Dropbox support.
I have not found them to be very helpful yet.
Can anyone advise me what could have caused this?
Can anyone advise me what solutions I have available to explore?
Hi Filmtime, welcome aboard our Community.
First off, can you please send me the ticket number from your convo with our support, so that I can also take a look?
Also, can you clarify what’s the size of the shared folder that you restored? Did you receive any error messages when the process failed?
Finally, if you try to restore these files/folders once again, what happens exactly?
Keep me posted for more updates!

Hey Anil kukkar , I hope you're doing well!
It seems you're getting an error 500. Do you think you'd be able to let me know when exactly you notice this error, or what it is that you're trying to achieve?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!
