Lost all my screenshots in the screenshots folder

Hi,
I am using Dropbox basic with 15Gb total capacity and 2,5Gb in use.
I just found out that my screenshots folder is empty on my PC (I had thousand of files in there). I also checked on Dropbox on the net. Same thing.
I checked the erased files but there is nothing there as well.
How can I recover theses screenshots knowing taht my Basic offer is not allowing Dropbox Rewind?
Is there a link where I can ask Dropbox to recover my files even if I have to pay?

Thank you
Claude 78100

Hey Claude78100, sorry to hear about this.

If you check your events page, do you see any events related to those files?

    Keep me posted.

If you're not seeing anything in Deleted File, then the files likely can't be recovered. Basic accounts have 30 days of file recovery and there's no way to extend that. Upgrading now wouldn't extend that time for files already deleted.

Do you see anything on the Events page about the files being deleted, or even syncing to your account?

Thank you for your quick reply Hannah,
I checked the events but there is nothing related to the missing files.
Just to let you know I had all these files last week. I just left my computer on during the long week-end (Friday thru Monday) and this morning I found an empty folder. Same on the Dropbox on the internet.
I don't know what happened. Nobody was able to touch my computer as I am a hoem office worker.
Nothing in the trash on my PC.
Sounds like a failure on Dropbox.
Shame on me. I am the EMEA Alliance Manager at Quantum Corporation  and I have no backup for my dropbox. On the other hand I never thought I can loose files on my Dropbox.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated
    Thank you
    Kind regards,
    Claude

    Dear Rich,
Thank you for jumping on this one. Nothing in the events. I just replied to Hannah. Don't know if you can see me my reply.
Looks like it is a filure on Dropbox.
    Kind regards

    Claude

Dropbox can't just delete your files like that. If you're not seeing them on your Events page, either the files never made it to Dropbox's servers, or the deletion happened long enough ago that the event has fallen off the list on the Events page.

Hi Claude78100, when you say the files were there last week, it sounds like you're talking about your Dropbox folder, right?

However, when was the last time you were able to see these files online, to confirm the app was syncing the changes correctly?
