My images don't load on mobile
My images don't load on mobile when I visit my website that uses dropbox direct photo links. The desktop site works fine.
Hi all,
As you may have seen, this issue is now resolved and a fix was rolled out earlier this week 🎉
Let us know if you have any questions.

I am having exactly the same issue, specifically related to iOS (All browsers) and macOS (Safari Specifically). The hosted photos I use in my html code for my webpage (eBay) stopped displaying on these platforms a few days ago. They've been up for at least a year without issues and unless changes were made, are inputted correctly (https, raw=1).
This is a big concern for me. The images are both .jpg and .png format. Any ideas?

Hi Black Fly, thanks for providing these details!
What error are you getting when previewing it in Safari?
Does the link work in any other browser aside from Edge?
You can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely to see if this helps.
Keep me updated with any progress! - Black Fly5 years agoExplorer | Level 3Thank you jay for responding.
There is just an empty white space where normally the photo should appear.
No message.
I have tried in incognito mode and no difference there. The problem appears only when using safari and only started from March 1st. Before everything was fine.
Best regards

I just wanted to add that this is not limited to images. CSS being served via Dropbox is also not being rendered properly in Safari. It seems to be an issue of file mime types being incorrectly set. This issue just started on March 1st as well.
The console in Safari shows the following message when attempting to load CSS files via Dropbox:Did not parse stylesheet '[url]' because non CSS MIME types are not allowed in strict mode.Additionally, this is not just a mobile issue and occurs on desktop Safari as well. Does not occur in non-Safari browsers and persists in private windows.

Hi Lusil,
It is very difficult to find out who to contact on their website. I have tried and received this case number #12127515 and #12127503
I have problems with to force render a file in a browser. To bypass the preview page and allow your browser to directly render your files, use raw=1 as a query parameter in your URL. Adding raw=1 to a URL will cause an HTTP redirect.
As i mentioned earlier, it seems that dropbox made some changes regarding to force render a file in a browser. The url is changing to something else and my app cant open my xml therefor. Could you please change it back or send me instructions how i can have it as i had before?

I have a similar problem when trying to download files with links (https: //dl.dropbox.com/s / ...)
My app can't download these files on iOS but on Android it works.
