Same with me.
I am also having cropping issues. As in, IF I rotate the image that Dropbox automatically rotates back to the way I want it and THEN crop that upright image as I want it, it saves with the crop applied as if i had never

To complete my thought...
...it saves with the crop applied as if i had never corrected the rotation in the first place.

Same problem, I am glad it's just not me. I'm a novice at this.

I have been using Dropbox for almost a decade -- mostly to upload photos from my DSLR cameras. Very recently, when I upload photos taken in portrait mode, they show up as sideways (i.e., not in portrait mode). This occurs only within the Dropbox mobile app. On desktop and web, they continue to display correctly (i.e., in vertical portrait mode).
I have tested this with multiple cameras, and it is the same problem. So I can only assume that it's a problem specific to the Dropbox mobile app. And it has only been happening recently - like in the last couple of weeks.
Can someone please help with this?

Hey there Mood, thanks for checking in with us.
I'd be more than happy to help look into this, I'll just need a bit more info:
- Does this happen with photos you've manually uploaded or added via camera uploads?
- If you export a few photos to your mobile's storage, do they preview normally?
- Are they all the same file type by any chance?
Let me know what you find - thanks!

I uploaded a set of photos to a folder to share with my condo neighbors regarding a lobby redesign. They all loaded sideways and when people accessed the folder the photos were all sideways with no way to rotate them, I’d be happy to share the folder with you but clearly I’m not the only one having this issue. I wound up using google photos for my neighbors which worked great.

Hey FSG1 and StageScience, thanks for reaching out to us on the Dropbox Community!
I'd be more than happy to help look into this with you, I'll just need a bit more info to make sure that we're on the same page, such as:
- How did you upload these photos? Through the website, the desktop app, or the mobile app?
- Did you manually add them or was it via camera uploads?
- Do the photos look rotated when you preview them on the website and our apps?
Any additional details would be very helpful. Thanks!

Looking at pictures older than friday last week also have this issue. All portrait pictures are shown in landscape. This goes on all platforms, PC, Android, Ipad.
- Surge926 years agoExplorer | Level 4I'm having the same issue. My vertical photos have always uploaded upright for years, but I noticed they are now rotated sideways on the previews. The most recent vertical photos I uploaded last night are also rotated horizontally. Is there a reason this is happening? I upload through the website, by the way, via a linked/synced folder.
