Hi Kelly Mc, I hope your day is going great!

Have you added the member's email directly to the folder, or have you shared a link to the content?

Also, is the member able to see the updates online?

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there.

    thanks mark.

i dont think ive explained it very well.

I know how to share a folder, but this folder has 40 sub folders that has been shared to 40 people

it is the main folder i want to share like an admin.

But when you hover over the share arrow it comes up with the copy link email line. Now if this function actually worked the main folder would be updated when members share information. But its not working. It shares the folder but no updates are being seen.

Hey Kelly Mc, sorry to jump in here.

I just wanted to mention that there's no way to share a folder that already contains a shared folder.

By sharing a link to the parent folder of the shared subfolders, you're granting recipients of the link access to all folders in that path, but any changes they make to files in that folder won't sync with your Dropbox.

f you'd like to give them read-write access to the parent folder instead, you can unshare the subfolders, share the parent folder, and then share a link to the subfolders separately, if needed.

I hope this clears things up a tad.
