Sharing folders not working
Does anyone know if something has changed with folder sharing in Dropbox, as recently as the past week? I've been working with shared folders with a colleague, and in the last couple days when we upload a new folder to the shared folder, the other person isn't seeing it. We're checking permissions and it says both people have editing access. I tried creating a new shared folder and inviting her to see that, and even that isn't working.
Hi deward, let us know if you have any updates on this matter!

Hello,
I am having a similar issue with Shared Folders (not links), and when I click on the link to the Contact Support Team, it takes me to a page where I can chat with a bot or post in the community, however I can't see an option to open a ticket!
I am a board member for a registered charity and have been sharing multiple folders, within one top level folder, with 5 other board members for over 5 years. A few months ago the sharing just stopped.
All the files are there and I can see / access etc but none of the others can.
Definitely is not a space issue and fascinating that all 5 are no longer able to see anything in the top level folder.
Would really appreciate some help with this! 🙂

Thanks for posting this on the forum, userreqts!
Let’s check a few things together; first off, are the rest of the members unable to see your folders on https://www.dropbox.com/home or only on their desktop app?
Are you the owner of these folders?
Also, if you click here, are you able to see the “Email” option now perhaps?

Thank you so much for your reply Nancy!
I have sent a note to the other members asking them to check online as well as in their desktop app. Will let you know.
Still not getting an email option using the link you provided. It takes me to https://www.dropbox.com/support where I see the 'Helpful Articles', 'Contact Us' (which only has Chatbot and Community options) and Support Tools headings.
No email or any other option to actually contact Technical Support 😞
Am I missing something really obvious?

No problem at all, Leanne. You can let me know when you’ve got more updates.
As per your other request, is there any chance that you’re currently on a Basic plan? If so, then this option may not be available (you can also check this link).
If the case needs to be taken to ticket though, then I’ll open one for you, so you don’t need to worry about this.

Ah yes Nancy, I am on the Basic Plan (I don't pay for it as it is used for charity work and we need to keep our costs down).
However this has never been a problem before... mind you I haven't had a problem at all before hence never needed tech support.
The others have all checked and they are not seeing any subfolders in our dNet folder either through the app or logging directly into their accounts online.
Warmest Regards

Sorry to jump in here, userreqts!
So, if you're the only one that sees the subfolders on your end, that probably means that there's a syncing issue with your computer.
Do you see a small Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar? If so, please hover over it with your mouse, to check the sync status and version of the Dropbox app.
Let me know what you find.

Hello! I am having the same problem as @userreqts. When I add things to the shared folder I have with my boss, the things, I am adding do not show up for her. I see when she adds things, but it doesn't work visa versa. My dropbox is syncing well. I usually share things using the desktop app, not through my internet browser. Could that be the problem? Do I need to try updating my computer? This problem is really disrupting our workflow and is causing some larger problems. Do you happen to have any more suggestions on how I can get this to work?

Hi there, 24cmsanchez, it'd be my pleasure to help with that!
Let's try to identify why this is happening.
Now, you mentioned that you use the app to add content to the shared folder. I'd like for you to visit your account online, on your browser, and let me know if you're able to see all the files you've added, being visible there.
You mentioned you don't have any syncing issues, so I am assuming you should be able to see them there.
If you can, then your boss should also have access to them, when visiting their account online. Could you check in with them, and ask if they're using the app, or the web to check for the content?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

I have the same problems. I cannot share folders since I installed beta tester of Dropbox. How can I fix this problem?
