Can I refresh a file inside Dropbox, without re-uploading it from scratch?

Hi, A file or folder is downloaded from my desktop into Dropbox. I use colors etc for files and folders on my desktop, but they do not show in Dropbox. For that reason I prefer to work on my files ...

    Welcome back to the community lpvmc​ 

    I have a couple of questions to start to make sure we're on the same page. Are you using Dropbox on Windows or MacOS? Are you using a Dropbox folder on your desktop to manage files? Or are you simply uploading the files into Dropbox ad hoc without managing your Dropbox folder?

    If you're using a Dropbox folder, the files should automatically refresh as they're updated on your computer. 

    Am I understanding your issue correctly?
