Can't share files because of violation of Terms of Service error

Hi I have had dropbox on my computer for years now although I have not been using it for quite some time.

I recently tried to share a new folder and got the message:
"We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement."

I have no idea which of the terms I may have violated or how to fix it.
The chatbot wasn't very helpful either.

Dropbox still works on my computer and I can see all my storage on the website but I'm just not able to share any files or folders.

I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue.

    Hello!

I'm experiencing this issue as well.  I made sure I deleted any files from my existing dropbox to make sure it wasn't a space limit issue.  Can you please help?

    Thank you!

    Hello!

I'm experiencing this issue as well. I haven't broken any rules and haven't used Dropbox for a long time, but it shows me a message that I broke the rules. Can you please help me to solve it?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

I'm experiencing a similar issue with my Dropbox account. I recently integrated Dropbox with Make (formerly Integromat) to automate the upload of invoice PDFs (from Zoho Invoices) into a Dropbox folder. The upload process worked fine, but in the following module to generate a shared link , I received this error:

    [409] banned_member/..
We have suspended your sharing activity due to a violation of the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy, as well as the Dropbox Terms of Service or Services Agreement.

Additionally, when I try to manually share files from my account via the web interface, I get the message:

“Sharing could not be completed – We have interrupted the sharing of your files.”

To my knowledge, my usage has been very limited and involved only standard file types such as PDFs, images, and documents. I’m unsure if this restriction occurred as a result of the Make integration or prior to that.

Could someone from Dropbox Support please clarify the cause of this restriction and how I can resolve it?

Please feel free to email me if you need further details.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
