Dropbox Not Syncing on Windows 11 — Files Stuck with Blue Sync Icon
Hi everyone,
I’ve been using Dropbox on my Windows 11 laptop without any issues until recently. Now some of my files are stuck with the blue syncing icon and never finish uploading. I’ve tried pausing/resuming sync, restarting Dropbox, and even reinstalling the desktop app — but the same issue keeps coming back.
My internet connection is stable, and there’s still plenty of storage space in my Dropbox account. The web version shows the files as “waiting to upload,” but they never complete.
Is there a recent bug or update causing this?
Would really appreciate any advice or troubleshooting steps from the community.
Thanks!

Are these files in use or possibly locked by some other application? Dropbox can't sync a file if another application has a lock on it.

If it's just certain files, then something on the computer is likely preventing them from syncing, but if it's all of your files, I'd suggest doing an advanced reinstall.

Not likely or it would be affecting many, many people.
