Error: "Couldn't complete share" - how can I resolve this?

Hi! I have this error with my Dropbox when I was testing the file sharing feature after trying to revive my Dropbox after a while. I'm on the free plan at the moment.

Earlier, I had a notice saying.

We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement.

I'm not sure where it went wrong but I was only trying to test the sharing feature.

I would like assistance into this matter please. Thank you.

Hey boxer25, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community.

I just sent you an email, so we can take a closer look into your issue.

Just get back to me when you have a moment.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Boxer, It looks like your ability to share was paused for one of the reasons explained in the Help Center guide.
Based on similar cases I've seen in the community, if this is the first time it happens, it should sort itself out automatically after 24 hours.

Please follow up with Hannah so can finalize the issue.
