"Failed to load Dropbox Embed..." when other users are viewing the videos on my Paper doc

Hi all,

I created a document with 3 videos, all of which total 10 minutes. When I share this document others get this message:

"FAILED TO LOAD DROPBOX...""FAILED TO LOAD DROPBOX..."

I'm able to view the videos w/o any issues. I received the videos from another dropbox user. She shared them with me for the purpose of me using them and distributing them, so there aren't any restrictions with the videos. When the ppl I share the videos with click on the videos they get this message:

Like I said, I put no restrictions on viewing these videos. Each person I send this to has to request access separately for each video, wait for me to respond then go back and view it. This is obviously not ideal when you're trying to get ppl to read a persuasive doc...

I've tried contacting Dropbox support on 3 different occasions over the past 3 weeks with no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! (Also, I have "Dropbox Plus" membership, so I've paid $119 - not happy about I'm getting for the money I've spent...)

Thank you

I’m sorry to hear you’re having this issue, Coley. Let’s check this together.

First off, can you please walk me through the steps that you took, in order to share this Paper doc with them?

The second message you've attached usually appears when a file has been shared with a user's specific Dropbox account, and they try to access it from a different account/email address (in which case, they'd need to ask for the owner's permission).

Has any of them tried to access your videos via different browsers, and they experience the same issue?

Also, please feel free to send me the ticket numbers from your support convos, and I’ll look into them, as well.

Let me know when you’re ready.

    Hi Nancy,

Thank you for getting back to me.

Here are the ticket #s, starting with the most recent:

    Ticket #23131529

    Ticket #23059759

    Ticket #23052883

The process of creating the document and sharing it went as follows:

    - I was sent 3 different videos (totaling 10 minutes) from another dropbox user.

-She wanted me to be able to share these videos, so there weren't any restrictions on them.

-I downloaded the videos and embedded them into a new dropbox paper.

-I shared this document with 7 other people, none of whom were able to open the videos.

-They received a message in place of the videos stating "Failed to load Dropbox embed..."

-if they clicked on that message, they received another message stating: that they needed to request access.

-An email would be sent to me, I would grant access (this had to be done individually, 3 times per person).

    - With one person I was able to see that they eventually could watch the videos, after that whole process.

-I do not want to have to do this with each person. This is a professional engagement, and it's embarrassing when all these issues keep arising.

    thank you, Nicole
