Files show a cloud beside them and won't let me upload to other transfer tools
Hi,
I am having a problem with my photographic files saved in dropbox. I have a fully paid subscription.
The files are showing in dropbox with full file sizes but when I try to upload to another platform they show up with 0 bytes. Also, I cant see the thumbnails of the photos so it is difficult to select individual files as I can not see which photo is which without going back to dropbox and recording each individual file number which is a total pain. This never hapened before.
I would be greatful if you could shine some light on this, adding screenshots below.

Image really helps, thank you!
Those files are marked as 'online only', so, if you follow this it will download them locally for you and you can open and use as you want.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your reply, I am assuming then -computer space wise- they will be taking up space on my computer once downloaded locally? Perhaps a stupid question but the on dropbox but still on your computer thing really confuses me , although now I think I have my head around it.

Hey Cliodhna3, welcome to our Community!
No question is a silly question. That's why we're here after all.
You're correct. If you choose to make these files available offline, then they'll be downloaded locally to the device and therefore their size will no longer be 0kB.
If you have any other questions, I'm always here for you.😇

Hi Megan,
Thank you! Okay, can I do that with individual folders or are the all either on or off?

Thanks for your fast reply Cliodhna3!
You can choose to have different settings for each folder, or files within that folder. That's entirely up to you. 🤓

I have one more burning question before I leave. Is it possible to unshare shared folders if you are the owner?
