Files with a green checkmark don't appear online

I have three files on my machine that have a green check mark but are not synced online. I was wondering why this could be? So far I have quit and re-started dropbox, signed out and back ...

2 years agoI'm not sure I understand what you mean by the older version? Could you attach a screenshot showing what you're describing to assist further?

The thing is that the files I am creating are not new, i'm trying to over-write files with the same name and the same content. E.g. there is a file named "dropbox_april.docx" already in the folder and I am trying to save and sync the file with the same content and same name. For example, I tried changing the file name on my work computer and oddly, the name also got changed in my personal computer BUT the file was not recorded as newly synced to DB, the 'previously synced version' of the file remained. For example you see in one folder the sync date is today for GNQ, 8am and in other April 20, BUT the name has been reflected in GNQ_1.
