Folders appearing on dropbox app but files are missing.
Hi,
I have folders and files being shared with me but on my drop box app only the folders appear.
Syncing is up to date, in selective sync all available folders are selected (no option for those files), the files are named correctly and other members of my team are able to see them.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, the files still do not show up. How do I make these files appear?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, vp5.
Let's see what we can find out about this.
Are you able to access the files from your Dropbox account on the website as normal?
Which version of the Dropbox application are you using?
You can see that, when you hover over your Dropbox icon, along with the sync status.
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Thanks, vp5.
And just to confirm, the file names do not contain any of the characters listed here, right?

Can you also let me know what kind of device you're using? Is it a Windows or a Mac one? and which OS version?

Hi from me as well, vp5!
If you create a file on your desktop app, and then visit https://www.dropbox.com/home, are you able to see it there?
Are you logged in to the same Dropbox account both on the website, and the desktop app?

Hi,
Not able to see the folder but I am logged into the same account.

Hmm, alright.
Can you send me a couple of screenshots then of what appears on your end? I’d like to take a closer look.
More specifically, I’d like a screenshot of a file you can see on your web account, and one more showing the exact same filepath, as appears on your desktop app where the file is missing.
