How can I select a folder on a hard-drive to sync to Dropbox, then share with others?
Device M2 Macbook Pro Operating System/Browser (if using the web) macOS 15.6.1 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 235.4.5905

Simply put, no.
Dropbox only sync's what is inside of its own directory - it wont sync files elsewhere.
So the only way to do this would be to move the files inside of the Dropbox directory and work on them in there.
