How do I keep the contents of a shared folder when I'm removed from the folder?
Good Afternoon,
How do i keep a folder that is being unshared with me? I do not see a checkmark or option anywhere that says keep folder when unshare. Also the person who is unsharing the folder with me does not have the option to let me keep the folder.
Any tips?

Quickest and easiest way then would be to just copy and paste all files to another location before the share is closed 🙂

Its quite a big amount about 1.2tb. I would like to prevent having to do that solution.

Hi Brab, thanks for the details.
Is the other user the owner of the folder, or is it a separate person entirely?
Only the owner of the folder can provide the option to keep a copy of the shared folder when a member is removed.
Keep me posted.

Its from a Teams folder. We are not getting any option to keep the folder so far.

If it's from a team folder, then you won't be able to keep a copy for security purposes.
You'll need to duplicate the folder to another private folder on your account, or download the folder to your machine.
