I can't create File request when using the website. No option there.

I am trying to create a File Request. I login to dropbox, and click on File Requests on the left. But the page is coming up empty -- there is no New request to select from. What do I do? I am on a Mac.

Hi mtozsu, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you attach a screenshot showing what you're seeing on the site from that page?

This will help me to assist further!

I am having the same issue. Clicking on the left side menu File Requests just gives me a blank page. I am on a PC, using Edge as my browser. I tried Chrome and the same thing happened.

    Hey there, cw95, happy Wednesday!

Would you mind clearing your browser's cache, then trying again, please?

If you could also try an incognito tab, that'd be lovely. If you're unsure as to how you can access an incognito, here are the steps for Chrome.

Let me know what you find!

Neither of those options worked. Cleared my cache, logged back in, and still got a blank screen when clicking File Requests on the left menu. Tried again from a private browser window but no luck there either.

    Odd indeed cw95!

Can I send you an email, in order for us to have a closer look into this?

I did what was asked -- clearing the cache and also trying the incognito mode. No difference, I still see an empty page. I am attaching the screen shot. THis is frustrating as I am trying to set up a file request for a course and I don't have an ton of time before I have to get this done.

HI mtozsu, do you have any browser extensions, proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

I don't think so. But if you tell me which extensions to look for I could check.

I went through that list and attempted to reach each one.

    • addtodropbox.com failed; said it could not reach it
    • app.hellosign.com was reachable
    • db.tt -- strangely, this brought up my Dropbox files and I tried once again File Request and this time it worked. Have no idea why.
    • docsend.com reachable
    • dropbox.com reachable
    • dropboxapi.com not reachable
    • dropboxbusiness.com reachable
    • dropboxcaptcha.com giving me a blank page (reasonable I think)
    • dropboxforums.com reachable
    • dropboxforum.com reachable
    • dropboxinsiders.com reachable
    • dropboxlegal.com reachable
    • dropboxmail.com reachable
    • dropboxpartners.com reachable
    • dropboxstatic.com gives 4xx error
    • dropboxteam.com reachable
    • dropbox.tech reachable
    • dropbox.zendesk.com reachable and redirects
    • getdropbox.com reachable
    • learn.dropbox.com reachable
    • links.dropbox.com gives 4xx error

I hope this info is useful. For now, my problem is resolved, but i have no idea why.
