I can't upload files to the Dropbox site any more, why?
I used to be able to upload files to my Dropbox account by clicking Upload, clicking the file I want uploaded and then click the Open box. Now when I do all that, the open box is faded and won't let me click the button. This is on Google Chrome. I also tried it on Microsoft Edge and the same thing happened, but it does have an "Upload from Mobile" button that doesn't do anything. I have a free basic Dropbox account, and I am only using a quarter of my 2 MBs of storage space. Please help me with any suggestions. Thanks!

Hi Cathy11, thanks for messaging the Community.
Could you try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely?
Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for your suggestions. But, unfortunately I just tried all of those options and they didn't work. Any other suggestions?

Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

I have McAfee, but I have no idea how I would check it's settings restricting traffic to dropbox.

Could you try temporarily disabling it completely to see if this helps with uploading to the Dropbox site?

How would I do that?

You'll need to check the McAfee site on how to disable it, as we wouldn't have any information on how to do that.

Ok. So, to be clear, I should be temporarily disabling McAfee's firewall not the whole program? Also it looks like my computer has a Windows Defender firewall too. You can turn it off, but it says that it is not recommended, next to that option.

As it sounds like you're not certain, you don't need to disable the antivirus or firewall. It does sound like something in the browser itself is preventing the Dropbox site from working normally, since we're not experiencing this issue here.
Please could you try using a different computer to see if the site loads normally with the upload button working correctly.
