The dropbox icon is not in the corner and when i go to the start menu and search dropbox app, it will not open.

I'd suggest trying an advanced reinstall of the Dropbox application. Also, try to uninstall it through Control Panel/Uninstall a program, rather than through Settings/Apps.

It might sound trivial but can you try to restart your device, and then follow the steps mentioned here?

Honestly, I don't know what happened! I have done those steps several times with no luck. I would go through task manager and quit all programs running dropbox, then I would restart the computer and the same thing would happen. This time, everything loaded up perfectly. I even have the dropbox app symbol in the tray. Thanks guys!
