Issue with Logic Pro files (.logicx)

I've been working with Dropbox for years. Has always worked well, until now.

Many of my Logic Pro project files (.logicx) are corrupted and they won't sync to my Mac. When I download them through Safari or Chrome, Logic won't open them. This is a problem for me because I work with these files.

What's strange is that some project files appear in the browser, with a folder icon, and others with a file icon. The ones with the file icon are the problem. They don't appear locally on my device. Luckily I have backups, but not of all the most recent versions.

The issue appeared since I joined a Dropbox Business Team. I left the team but the problem remains. I restarted my mac and Dropbox multiple times. Even reinstalled Dropbox. Removed folders and let them sync again... nothing works. Does anyone have advice?

Hi there stevenmusic, thanks for posting on our Community and sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Your issue kind of echoes this discussion. Could you have a look and let me know if that's the case indeed?

In the meantime, could you clarify your device's OS version, the version of the Dropbox desktop app installed there and the location of your Dropbox folder per the app's preferences under the sync tab?

    Thanks!

Hi Walter, thank you for your reply. Yes the other discussion you refer to looks similar.

Here's a screenshot of a folder with two projects:

      - One called "Elfie drums edit.logicx", behaving and syncing correctly;

      - One 'corrupted' called "David (piano).logicx"

Both files have the .logicx extension, but as you can see, the 'corrupted' file shows a different icon in the browser and it doesn't show in the Finder. When I download the 'corrupted' file in the browser, Logic won't open it.

      My OS is Ventura 13.6
My Dropbox is Located in my Home folder.
      Dropbox version 185.4.6054

Hi unityofnoise, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you experiencing this in the Dropbox desktop application, the mobile app, or via a third party app or service?

What is the exact error that you're getting in more detail?

Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

This is the desktop app on 4 different computers.. 2 Mac Minis (one 2012 Intel, one 2022 M1) and 2 MBP, both 2015.
Here is a screen shot of the errors.
