missing folders from a shared folder
Hi all! Data has disappeared from the shared directory...... Part of the shared directory and sub directory disappeared. The missing directories are not even in the deleted folders (trash). This applies to files directly on the disk, but also to files visible via the web.
Thank you for advise.
I finally accepted this solution. I re-uploaded the missing files to the shared directory. I was able to get them from a TimeMachine (MacBook) backup in an older version.
Thank you for all for cooperations and advise.

Hey tomasewski, have you tried using the search bar at the top of your 'all files' page, to see if you can locate any of these files?

Yes! No result (

And they're not in your deleted files page either?

Another question (sorry if it's pointless). isn't there a new limit on the size of the shared directory? But as I wrote, we have been working with this directory for several years.

Something similar happened to me soon after updating to MacOS Sonoma 14. Folders moved from our shared folder structure to unexpected locations and were no longer accessible to teammates. I've been slowly trying to move everything back into place, but it was a lot of files and is taking a long time. Is this a known issue and are there ways to prevent it from happening again when I update other computers in the office?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, nwm.
We haven't seen something similar to this, if I'm honest.
Did these moves show up in your events page?
- nwm3 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Yes, the move did appear in the Events and I received an email about it because of the large number files that were moved. From reading other posts in the forum I believe that this is very similar to issues that are being experienced by others after upgrading to the new MacOS 14.0.

Yes, the movements were subsequently displayed. When I downloaded the data from the TimeMachine backup to a directory in DropBox.
