2 years agoHey wailnguitars, does your Backup also show as unfinished when you visit your Backup page online?
If so, could you send me some screenshots, in order for me to have a visual of the entire situation that you described, please?

Under "Last 7 Days", those are just files that I deleted from Dropbox and have nothing to do with the current backup. Just an FYI

Update: the small image file that I put on there did in fact eventually upload to the cloud

Thanks for these screenshots, wailnguitars; they really help.
If you open your local Dropbox folder, do you see any files/folders that have syncing icons next to them? You can also attach a screenshot of what you see here.
Since your web Backups page appears to be up to date, I’d like to make sure there isn’t something else currently updating on your Dropbox account.

There are no files or folders in my local Dropbox folder that have syncing icons next to them. But, oddly enough, it is showing that the backup completed. It shows that it is "Done" on the website and also the drop-down window in the menu bar also shows that it is done syncing.
However, there is 673.57GB used on the external drive I am backing up, and it says Dropbox has backed up 626.35GB. Are these backups being compressed before being uploaded? Not sure why almost 50GB would be missing. Nancy Megan Hannah
