My new Windows 11 laptop can't sync the iTunes folder from my old laptop.
I bought a new laptop with Windows 11 and enough storage to download my iTunes folder. There was no iTunes folder maybe since it was online-only on my last laptop. I tried creating an iTunes folder on the laptop inside of the Dropbox folder and it says something like iTunes (sync issue). How can I sync this (huge) folder? Am I better off creating a folder with a different name and moving the folders a few at a time, manually? Would love to have Dropbox download it all at once.

Welcome back to our Community, Lynk!
Is the iTunes folder available on your Dropbox account online (on www.dropbox.com)?
Also, have you checked your selective sync settings on the new device to make sure the folder isn’t set to not sync on the desktop app?
As for the new folder you’ve created, I’d recommend renaming it to something slightly different to avoid any potential syncing conflicts.
Let me know what you find, and we'll go from there.

I have a question about selective sync. If it is set that way on one laptop, does that mean it is set for the other? I didn't set SS on my new laptop.
That said, my new laptop eventually downloaded the file so I need to delete the new one (with a new name).
Another question if I may, I was deleting files on another computer and it deleted the files off of Dropbox and the new laptop. Yikes! I had trouble recovering the files but think I did, at least most have repopulated. That was scary. What is the solution to deleting off one laptop without it being deleted on DB and other devices?
Thank you so much!

No. Selective Sync settings are specific to the device that you set them on.

That's not how Dropbox works. The entire point of Dropbox is that it syncs changes across all devices. Add a file on one device and it's added to every computer linked to your account. Delete a file from a device or the website and it's deleted everywhere. This is how Dropbox is meant to work.
If you want to delete files off of one computer only, use Selective Sync on that device to remove the folder that those files are located in.
