Hey dumbquestion, sorry to see you're not able to share your folder.
Can you give us a bit more info as to why? Are you getting some kind of error message?
Also, is the folder currently shared with other people?
Is it inside another already shared folder perhaps?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Not getting an error message but I am only able to copy the folder and not share it. I don't believe it is in an already shared folder but I will double check that tomorrow when I go back to work. The only thing that I have done at this point is to create the dropbox folder and I placed some files in it. I intend to share with my personal account so that we have files both at home and at work. I created a work account so that no personal files are shared with the business account.

Thanks for the update, dumbquestion.
When you get a chance, can you send us a screenshot of what you see when you try to share the folder?
Just make sure to hide any personal info on the screenshot.

sorry for the delay. i responded to your replay via email and the message was kicked back. Here is a screenshot of what I see when trying to share that folder. Other folders, I was simply able to share with Dropbox. Thank you for your help.

Out of interest dumbquestion what IS the folder?
If its a Dropbox created one (Vault, Camera Upload, File Requests) it isnt possible to share it
- dumbquestion2 years agoExplorer | Level 3I believe it is just simply a folder on our computer for a check writing program. Have used dropbox for many years and this is the first time I have encountered this issue. I’m sure it is something that I am doing wrong, but I cannot figure it out.

Typically you would get only the Send a Copy option when you're clicking on a file or folder that's not located within the Dropbox folder. In order to share files using Dropbox, they need to be in your Dropbox folder.

Hi dumbquestion, it's possible that Rich is correct, in that this isn't a folder already located in your Dropbox folder.
Could you right click the folder and choose Properties to see what the location is?
