Scans on v334.2 iOS, can’t limit size
When scanning a document from my phone, there was a setting to reduce the file size. I keep copious records and would prefer not to save a 6mb text document. Is the setting buried somewhere?

Hey knik007, thanks for joining our Community!
After you scan your document and then tap on "next", there should be a bar for you to drag to adjust the image quality.
You can set it to low, medium or high quality and the file size will get adjusted accordingly automatically.
I hope this helps, but if you have any questions, please let us know.
- knik0073 years agoExplorer | Level 4That’s how it’s worked for a while. The app was recently updated to 334.2.2, and now the quality slider is absent. Is there any plan to restore the quality selection?
- Kjell13 years agoExplorer | Level 4I am using iOS 16.3.1 and lates version mobile app of Dropbox.
I can no longer reduce size of what I scan. Small receipts scan as 2.4Mb !
How can we get ability to reduce the size of these scans? - Hannah3 years ago

Hey Kjell1, I moved your post to this thread, which seems to be echoing your issue as well. Is this true for you too?
Can both you and you knik007 tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache" to see if that helps?
- knik0073 years agoExplorer | Level 4I just cleared the cache and quit the app. It appears to be using the same scan interface as ‘Files’ on iOS. Perhaps the Dropbox app is just piggybacking the native scan software, which does not have quality selection? That’s a bummer.

Hey knik007, sorry to jump in here!
Could you attach some screenshots of the options you see on your end, and walk me through the exact steps you're taking?

At least for me, it appears to have been fixed. You’ll see first the way the scan interface looked without a subsequent slider option, and the second image is the current scan interface which has the quality slider restored. As I said, it looked like it was using Apple's native scan software, and now it looks like it did previously on Dropbox's own software.
