shared folder will not sync after switch to new computer
Shared folders I moved my client to a new computer, and now none of the folders he shared are syncing correctly.

Thanks for posting on our forum, copacarl!
If I get this right, your client has shared some folders with you, but after you installed the Dropbox app on your new device, you can’t sync those folders properly. Correct?
Can you let me know what’s happening exactly? Is the app still trying to sync your folders, or has the syncing finished and you still can’t see them locally?
When hovering over the small Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar, what’s the syncing status and app version of the Dropbox app?
Keep me in the loop.

I support a CPA who shared a few hundred folders for his clients to send their documents to him. We need to replace his computer with a new one now the none of the folders will sync.

If they’ve checked their selective sync settings, and all of the folders are selected there, they can also look at www.dropbox.com to make sure none of the folders have these characters in their folder name.
If they do, then they need to rename those folders to allow syncing to the desktop app.
