Sharing a Folder that you can Save into your Dropbox
Hi, im not sure what happened with these new updates but before my photographer would share the folder with me and I was able to save that whole folder into my dropbox. He would send me "view" link and it would allow me to save that folder. it would say "SAVE FOLDER" and now we tried "view link" and "edit link" and none of them are allowing to save the folder for me. We tried talking to support and they were not able to answer the questions. Is this option no longer available?

The option to save a folder from a view-only link to your Dropbox still exists. The button says Copy to Dropbox.

We only getting Join Folder option. is there maybe some setting we need to change. We tried every link share option possible its not giving us COPY TO DROPBOX thats for new folders only because when we tried and old folder that we were able to SAVE IT before, it would still allows us to save it. So maybe new default settings on folders not allow it to "COPY TO DROPBOX" ?

Hey atcinla, let's jump right into this!
Have you made sure that you have the available space, in order to copy the folder into your Dropbox account?
Does this happen with every new folder, or just a specific one?
Let me know more!
- atcinla2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Yes. I have enough space. This is happening with all new folders. I don’t see from anyone anymore that I could “save the folder” i have multiple photographers and videographers they all send me content via Dropbox and lately nobody has been able to send me “Save Folder” option.

Hey atcinla - sorry to jump in here, but are those folders listed in your Shared tab and if so, are you able to add them to your account from there?
- atcinla2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Yes. I’m able to add folders that are shared. I duplicate the folder copy into my Dropbox.
The issue is anyone who sends me a link now days I can’t “Save to my Dropbox” before all people who sent me links would have that option. So what do I tell people who send me the links. What they need todo so I could save the folder into my Dropbox? - Megan2 years ago

Hey atcinla, can you send me a screenshot of what it looks like on your end, when you try to click on a shared link, please?
Just make sure none of your personal info is shown there.

I don’t see an option to message you or attach any files here.
So when I open a shared link it has no options todo anything.some other links I get. I only get options to save one file at the time.
i asked to send me global folder link and it would still not give me an option to save any folders. Just lets me save one file at the time. Or download the file.

Hi atcinla, when you view the post, there should be a camera icon where you can attach images.
Otherwise, you can copy and paste a screenshot directly into the post itself, in order for us to assist further.
- atcinla2 years agoExplorer | Level 3I’m using my iPhone safari browser to access this and there are no options to attach anything on here. Additional options only show “email me when someone replies”
