Sharing is currently suspended
Hello,
I am trying to revive my Dropbox account after years of stagnation (doing the cleanup here at the moment).
However when I tried to share a folder (super innocent, containing just a bunch of PDF's), I get
We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement.
I haven't found any other way to contact Dropbox support apart from community forums so if anyone from Dropbox support can help me get this sorted out I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
V.
This was resolved, thank you folks.

Hi Screatch, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It's possible that you might be experiencing this behavior on your account.
Could you confirm what type of plan you're on?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,
Thanks for reaching out so quickly.
I am currently on Dropbox Basic plan, I have seen this page but I am not sure if anything applies to me here
- One of your files may contain malware
- I used to have a personal backup here from years ago, if there is anything which registered as a potential malware, this should either be removed already or please kindly let me know what is considered as a malware

- You may have exceeded your bandwidth limit
- Unlikely, Dropbox account was stagnating for a long time and I don't have any popular shared folders which would still be downloaded to this day and cause any bandwidth.
- You may have reached the number of invites you can send per day

Would appreciate if a member of a staff can take a look into my account, I am happy to resolve any concerns or flags there is with my account.

Hello,
I've been having trouble sharing a file or folder for weeks. I always get the message:Can’t share file
We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement.
I am not aware of any rule violations, no option from the link https://help.dropbox.com/share/banned-links applies to me. Chatbot can't help, waiting 24 hours doesn't help either.Thank you. David
