Cannot create links to share files. "We’ve suspended your sharing activity" error.

Hello Support team,

I recently tried to share a file from my dropbox account and was unable with the following error message:

Can’t share file

We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement.

I removed all previously shared files just in case there was anything that was accidentally shared that was against TOS and I apologize. Could you please help me?

TYSM

That isnt enough to remove the block I'm afraid. You need to contact Dropbox support after you have done this via http://www.dropbox.com/support to get unblocked.

Hi kempec, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

It sounds like access to your sharing was paused on your account.

Have you checked this article to see if any of the files you're trying to share, or have already shared, breaches the Terms of Service?

Also check out some of our FAQs on this page. The one titled "Dropbox account suspended for excessive public-link traffic" might help shed some light on the issue.

Keep in mind that I used your Community-linked email address to send you an email, in order for us to investigate further. Reply back to me, and we'll take it from there.

    Thanks a bunch!

Thank you for your prompt response, Megan. Yes, I have gone through that FAQ and removed any content that I might have shared in the past accidentally that could have triggered this.

If you think there is something else, please let me know, and I will remedy. Thank you!
