Stuck with a message that someone is sharing a file with me (the file doesn't exist anymore)
A few weeks ago, after some app update, I received a popup in my dropbox app that a friend is sharing a file with me. The problem is that this is related with a file at least 10 years old and even when I try to "ignore", "reject" ou "delete" this sharing, the app says that the file is no more available and show me the popup again. If I try to visualize the file, the same message returns (not possible to exibt the link - because it was desabled) and then shows me the pop up again... I am going crazy with this, does anybody had the same problem??

Hi felipera29, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
As this is related to a shared file, could you try removing your access to it via this page, when logged into your account?
Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi felipera29, if I am guessing correctly, you only see this pop-up on your mobile app, right?
If so, have you tried uninstalling, re-installing the app and also clearing the app's cache?

Hello Megan, and thanks for the answer.
Unfortunately I already tried that as well. I also log my account in another device that I have (an iPad) and the message appeared for me. The thing that intrigues me the most is that this file was shared with me more than 10 years ago I reappeared from nowhere after some app update.

Hi felipera29, and sorry for jumping in.
Can you please share with me the OS versions of your iPad and mobile device, as well as the app versions of the Dropbox apps running on them?

Sorry for my late reply guys. Anyway, I am running the latest version for Dropbox (324.2.2) in both my devices (iPad mini 6th Gen and iPhone SE 2nd Gen with iOS 16.4.1).

Thanks for the updates, felipera29! This behavior is quite interesting indeed.
If you visit your All files page here, are you able to see this file on your end or does it keep showing only on your mobile apps?

Hello Nancy, and thanks for your support. I checked everywhere possible in all my folders and this file doesn't exist anymore. In fact, even when I try to visualize it by clicking on the notification that appears for me in the app, it says that the file is not available anymore. It is really interesting for me because I know exactly what file this is. It was an undergrad project that I did with this person in 2012. I am pretty sure I stopped accessing soon after and from nowhere this notification reappeared to me.

Hey felipera29, sorry to jump in here, but could you try clearing the app's cache and let us know if this message comes back?
