I am also getting this same issue, though I haven't tried reinstalling yet. Though by the sounds of it, it's not worth trying :S

Can you let us know if you've tried the troubleshooting steps in this thread?
Does restarting the computer and the Dropbox app help at all?

Hi Hannah,
I tried restarting the computer. I didn't exit every application in my Windows (which would be troublesome), but I exited the app that's responsible for the file in question. They did not help.

Hey amcsi! Are you getting this error for a specific application or for other ones, too? Can you send me a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

When this happened last time it resolved itself after about half a day. I have the same issue again with a new user.
